As the year is coming to a close, I can’t help but look back and reflect upon all of the blessings I have been fortunate to come by this year.
I thank God every day for my parents. I am grateful for their good health and all of the ways that they help me and my family on a daily basis. They always have our best interests at heart. I love them very much and cannot imagine my life without them. They mean the world to me. Thanks, Mom & Dad.
I thank God every day for giving me sisters. I’m doubled blessed with two of them. Through good times and bad, we’ve stuck together. We have each others’ backs and hurt when the others are hurting. There is never any jealousy between us and I think it’s because we truly want the best for each other. We’ve shared tears, laughs and so much more that to list them would take all day. I love them more than words can describe and as much as we don’t always show it towards each other, I know we all feel the same.
I always thank God for my husband. My best friend, my rock and my love is what he represents to me. I have never loved anyone like I do him. He’s real, kind, supportive and loving. He’s the greatest dad to our girls and they love him so very much. He hates it when I write all mushy about him so I’ll end with a … I love him more than words can say.
I am so very blessed to have three healthy, beautiful, smart and fun-loving girls. As challenging as Motherhood can be, I would never give it up or change anything about it for the world. I’ll take the sleepless nights, the limited time for myself, the whining, the fighting, the illnesses, the attitude, the messiness … (no need to go on, you get my drift) … because without my kids, I am boring. Life would be lacking. I love them unconditionally and hope that I am raising them with nothing but their best interests at heart.
I thank God every day for giving me the most wonderful in-law family I could ask for. Loving, warm, kind and supportive ~ they accepted me into their family with open arms. They respect me, support me and love me. For that, I am forever grateful and feel especially lucky to have them all in my life.
I give thanks every day for the small group of girls I have in my circle of friends. Some of them I have known all my life, while others I have luckily come to know through my college years or at the school where I teach. They have all been there for me when I’ve needed them most and we’ve shared so many fun and exciting moments together. I couldn’t begin to list them. Thank you ~ to all my girlfriends out there. You know who you are!
Last but not least, I am truly blessed to be doing in life what I love most – teaching. I have spent the last twelve years working with and teaching the most amazing kids, even the challenging ones. Each of them have touched my heart in some way or another. I look forward to school every day and couldn’t imagine myself in any other profession. I truly have the best job in the world.
Thank you 2010 ~ you have truly been good to me!
