In continuing with my 30 days of truth, today’s post is written in two parts. I’m covering day 7 and 8 together.
Write about someone who has made your life hell.
I thought about this one for a long time and had a difficult time coming up with a person in my life that would fit this category. Honestly, my life’s been good and no one has really ever been that nasty to me that I would say they’ve made my life miserable. A good thing, I think. Now, if I could change the word someone to something, then I could immediately think of something that has contributed discomfort in my life at various times. I will refer to the something I’m talking about as My Friend.
If you’re female, you have a My Friend too! This friend visits me regularly once a month. Only once a month. We first became friends when I was about twelve, almost thirteen. Whenever my friend visits, she brings me cramps, headaches, bloating and muscle aches. I beg her all the time to stop bringing me these presents but she insists I need them to be a better woman. My friend simply doesn’t listen. She makes me all grumpy and mean. I hate don’t like this friend at all but she’s one of those people who just doesn’t take a hint. She sticks around whether you like it or not. Now, I just deal with her. She comes and goes and I’m so darn happy when she’s gone. One day she’ll stop visiting me and that time couldn’t come any sooner. Not for a while yet though. Until then I’m doomed to be bitchy for a week, once a month. Darn friend.
Write about someone who has made your life worth living.
This writing prompt is easy. Although I have had and still have many people in my life who contribute to my happiness, there is one person who stands out above all the rest.
He hates it when I write about him so I won’t go on forever. He’s just really good to me. He is a total family man and loves me for who I am, faults and all. We’ll celebrate 6 years of marriage this March and I can honestly say I love him more with each new day that passes. I could not imagine my life without him.
So … he’s not allowed to leave 😛
