At first, I didn’t really get how Twitter worked. I was so use to the Facebook world, that to me, Twitter just seemed like a bunch of random status updates. It was confusing. I watched other people tweet for a really long time before I even dared to send out a tweet myself. As a beginner, I felt a bit overwhelmed.
Before long, I started to jump right in with my own tweets. I had a few people I personally knew and that I tweeted with regularly but, besides that, I was like a fish in new water! No one knew I even existed. So, I spent most of my time clicking on people’s profiles and reading their blogs. I found numerous blogs that I enjoyed reading and before long, I started to follow them.
In the process, I’ve met some pretty fabulous Twitter ladies. Funny ones, sweet ones, sarcastic ones and down right really friendly ones.
One lady, I especially *love* because it’s as if she saw me drowning in Twitter world so she swooped on down to save me. She’s been taking care of me ever since, teaching me what I need to know about Twitter and #wineparty and introducing me to other great bloggy friends. On Twitter, everyone knows her as @TruthfulMommy and she has the most entertaining blog, The Truth About Motherhood, where she writes about life and her journey through the madness we all call motherhood! What I love most about her is how she threads nothing but the truth through her writing. She just tells it like it is and doesn’t sugar coat a thing. Her honesty is truly refreshing and she definitely holds a special place in my heart.
It’s funny how things can change and how quickly we can become addicted to something new. I use to spend my time staying connected with friends and family on Facebook but once I got the hang of Twitter and made friends with so many nice people, my interest in Facebook has dwindled. Right now, Twitter is where it’s at for me and I can be found there as @beeswithhoney !
These are the ladies I tweet with regularly…
and they rock!
Thank you Twitter for introducing me to such great Twitter gals!
