It’s the eve before Mother’s Day and I haven’t a gift for my Mom. Not even a card. I know, you’re probably thinking…bad daughter, right?
I never know what to buy my Mom. I’ve completely exhausted the ideas of a manicure/pedicure gift card and/or a gift card to her favourite restaurant. I stay away from buying my Mother clothing because, really, we have such different tastes and I haven’t a clue about her sizing. I have a hard enough time shopping for myself.
So what DO you get a Mom who really has everything under the sun? She’s not a Hallmark card kinda gal so that’s out as well. She doesn’t read, scrapbook or have any hobbies. The only thing she really loves to do is travel. I’ll leave that department up to her or my Dad.
So like every other year, I’m going to wake up early on Mother’s Day morning and rush out to buy her a gift card. At least her toes will look pretty!
I’m so not creative.
I sure hope she doesn’t care.
Maybe I’ll just tell her I love her and that her gift is being combined with her birthday present which is five days after Mother’s Day.
Yes, that will buy me more time.
Maybe by then, I’ll come up with something good.
Or maybe, I’ll just buy her flowers.
