As always, my Mother’s Day ends up being pretty darn special. Between my hubby and our three girls, they fill my day with sweet words, kind actions, gifts and fun.
With little people like these in my life, how could my days not be filled with sunshine? They’re super cute, I know, but I could show you some pics where they’re more devious sides shine through, let me tell you! As challenging as Motherhood can often be (because we all know it’s not always sunshine and roses), it is a blessing and a gift to have children ~ especially girls.
My hubby is the wind beneath my wings. (Yes, like from the Bette Middler movie.) I say this because being with him makes me so happy. I appreciate everything he does for me (even though he may beg to differ at times – wink, wink). He puts up with my impatience and mood swings which only means he truly loves me too. Yes, I can be moody and impatient! Don’t tell me you don’t have those moments too. Everyone does.
I digress …
Last but not least, my teenager fills my days with rolling eyes, bits of attitude and a need for me to sometimes nag her BUT I love her to death no matter. She’s pretty, talented, sweet, smart and genuine. A good kid all around.
So you see, besides the pancake breakfast, the gift card to Gap, the 2 hour shopping break and the take-out dinner they gave me, what mattered most about today was the effort they put forth to make it special for me. They must really love me – nagging and all.
Thank you God, for giving me such special people in my life.
