Guess what I did?
I fell off the exercise bandwagon AGAIN!
After a weekend of eating like a piglet, I decided I need help!
A girlfriend of mine told me about My Fitness Pal, an on-line diet and exercise helper. I’m sure you all know about it already. I’m always behind with the times so I decided to check it out. Actually, I received a friend request from one of my fitness obsessed sisters to be her friend on My Fitness Pal. Need I say more? I went there and just signed up for an account. Honestly, I need all the help I can get. I couldn’t imagine going any more wrong with my diet and fitness regime.
I absolutely love it! The on-line program is sort of like Facebook. You set up your profile page and get to upload a photo of yourself. It shows your friend list and has a place for you to write status updates. Your friends can comment on your wall and you can do the same back on their walls. The only difference from Facebook is that My Fitness Pal is all about fitness, diet and keeping motivated between friends who are also trying to get in shape or loose weight. It’s like an on-line support group!
My Fitness Pal has a message board where members can post questions, share recipes or low calorie foods they’ve found in the supermarket. Some members write about their struggles with weight loss and other members offer encouragement. The program has so much to offer I couldn’t even imagine trying to cover it all in just one blog post. They even have the program available as an app for your Iphone! (Not that I have one but that’s another story you’ve already heard enough about.)
Anyways, I’m all set up and I’m ready to start tracking my daily diet and fitness activity. It’s fun to see everyone’s target weight-loss goals and watch how many pounds they loose per week. It’s nice how everyone is there to offer words of encouragement and support and how generous friends are with offering each other suggestions regarding meal planning. I can’t wait to get started myself.
My Fitness Pal seems like a very supportive community and I’m looking forward to seeing how well or not it works for ME ~ the girl who falls off the bandwagon regularly.
I’ll be sure to keep you posted on my progress but if you’re curious about the program, you should check it out yourself by simply clicking here!
Oh, and before I forget to mention it … My Fitness Pal is absolutely free to use.
