I’m happy to report that I have not yet fallen off the healthy living bandwagon!
I am still going strong in both the eating healthy department ( with the exception of a couple of right-off days) and with the exercising regime. I owe this success to my sister Gina and best friend Rosa AND to My Fitness Pal.
Since setting myself up an account with My Fitness Pal, I have learned many things. First and foremost, I have discovered just how much I love tracking the food I eat. As weird or tedious as it sounds, it really teaches and shows you a lot about how bad or good you eat on a daily basis. It makes you look at the labels on all foods so that you’re fully aware of what you’re putting into your body. For me, journaling my eating and exercise habits really helps to keep me focused and motivated. That’s just me though.
It’s fun having my sister and my best friend on-line with Fitness Pal because we can motivate each other daily and offer each other helpful tips on low-cal food items we’ve tried and ways to curve the hunger pangs. The sharing of ideas and tips that go on on Fitness Pal between friends is truly helpful and encouraging. For example, I discovered Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred video via my BFF Rosa. She swears by it. She has lost a total of 13 lbs since joining Fitness pal and the 30 Day Shred video has helped her in the exercise department. Knowing this, I ran out to Wal-Mart with my sister and picked up a copy. Heck, if it works for Rosa, maybe it’ll help to whip me into shape too!
I think I’ve been logged on to My Fitness Pal now for 15 days. Since joining, I have lost a total of 4 pounds. Not bad huh? Besides the wait loss though, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I definitely need a support group to keep me from straying off my healthy living lifestyle path. And like I’ve said so many times before, it’s okay if I have a bad day here or there as long as I get back on track and stay there. Everyone has their bad days and that’s okay.
Yay for me!
Time to go record what I’ve eaten for breakfast. Until next time my friends, happy, healthy living!
