Halloween is a no-brainer. I mean, seriously? Who wouldn’t love dressing up, going door to door and collecting candy? It’s chocolate, people!
Halloween has always been my absolute favourite holiday of the year. It even beats out Christmas and I love getting presents.
What I love more than presents though? C.H.O.C.H.O.L.A.T.E
Ask anyone who knows me. I am a chocolate fanatic. I will go to no end to find the stuff when I’m craving it. When at work, it’s pretty much all the time.
Every year, I buy more Halloween decor. I add to my already large collection of stuff. My husband thinks I’m wacko. My kids love it.
So for today’s listicle assignment via Stasha over at North West Mommy, I’m sharing all my reasons for loving Halloween so much.
First off, I thoroughly enjoy …
Inside the gate, lay the lovely bones of my ancient ancestors (Okay, not really
but it sounds spooky). Beware!
Glowing pumpkins can be found throughout our house. Four in the front entrance, three in the living room, two in the kitchen and two in the TV room. I love all things glowy.
Every room, every corner, every nook in our house is decorated with something Halloweeny.
Spider web table cloths have become my favourite this year. Their beauty spooktifies the surface of any piece of furniture.
Beware the red-eyed spider candle holders and the rock-solid tomb stones which rest on the counter in my kitchen. Cook at your own risk!
Nothing beats getting to go to the pumpkin patch with this cute kid and choosing your own pumpkins to carve.
Drawing on our faces before we carve our pumpkins is what the kiddos do. Then Daddy and Mommy carve out the pieces. Viola, our Jack O Lanterns come to life!
Halloween would never be the same without decorating sugar cookies at Grandma and Papa’s house. More fun than decorating them is eating them! Yum!
What sorts of things to do you and your family do to celebrate Halloween?
