Something I love just as much as kids books are kids toys.
So when a package arrived in the mail a few weeks ago, I was excited to see what was inside. Wow Wee Canada asked if I would be interested in reviewing a few toy products and after checking out the links the company sent me, I said sure. Send me the toys! I’m ready to play
Two very different toy products arrived.
My girls instantly gravitated to the Lite Sprite Fairy figures. Being the fairy fanatics that they are, I wasn’t surprised by their immediate interest in the more noticeably girlish toys.
With the Lite Sprite line, girls can use a wand to magically collect colour that can be shared with play sets and sprite friends. It’s so very cool!
Light Sprites can be purchased in Canada at any Zellers, Home Hardware, Sears or Canadian Tire store.
You can see them in action here.
The favourite toy of all, however, became the Paper Jamz guitar along with an auto-tuning perfect pitch microphone. You can customize and download your own music with the Paper Jamz App, increasing the play value for the kids.
The microphone and perfect pitch amp has different settings so you can change the sound of your voice and sing along to music. The auto harmony button makes anyone sound like a super star singer, even Mom’s who can’t carry a tune!
Just this week, both my girls brought the microphone and effects amp into school for show and tell. According to a 3 and 5 year-old, the children in their class thought the microphone and amp were “so cool” and they all laughed when the girls changed their voices with the special effects buttons. My youngest likes to make her voice sound like an alien. Why am I not surprised?
With Christmas just around the corner, I’m adding these toys to my shopping list because I know for a fact that my nephews, who are 7 and 10, would absolutely love to find the Paper Jamz guitar, microphone and effects amp under their Christmas tree this year. They can be found at a local Sears, Zellers, Toys R us or Wal-Mart store near you.
It’s never too early to start shopping for Christmas!

I was compensated with the very same toys I reviewed.
