I’m super excited! It’s time for #Listicles with Stasha over at North West Mommy.
Today’s topic was chosen by non other than me.
Tell you life story using songs or music videos.
When I chose this topic I never expected to spend so much time on Google and UTube searching through decades of music and artists and songs. I never expected to become overwhelmed with all the memories and emotions that flooded me while I researched and listened to the hits of my past.
So here’s a flashback look into the life that was Mama Bee. <—- That’s me!
Scene 1: My Childhood
Setting: My family visiting with relatives or friends, playing cards, eating and this 70’s song playing in the background while us kids danced around and played with each other.
Scene 2: My Childhood Part Two: A Big Fat Italian Wedding
Setting: A cousin’s wedding, lots of food, lots of wine, dancing, dancing and more dancing to this one popular Italian re-make of an English song. No Italian wedding would be complete with out it.
Scene 3: My Childhood Part Three
Setting: A friend’s birthday party. Coed. The movie: Rocky lll. Me bursting out in uncontrollable tears when Coach Mickey died.
Scene 3: The High School Years
Setting: The eighties and all the social cliques. So different from outside, yet so much the same from the inside.
Scene 4: Freedom, Clubbing Days
Setting: Girlfriends and I getting ready for a night out. Ice Mist hair-spray for our big hair and bright red lipstick to complete the look of the 90’s.
Scene 5: My Divorce
Scene 6: Life as a Single Mom
Starting over, just me and my baby girl.
Scene 7: My Courtship with Mr. BEE
So far away from each other yet connected so strongly via our hearts.
Scene 8: Our Wedding
Hubby proposed to me with a song he wrote and sang himself. Hubby’s father performed the song for our first dance. In the song’s place, I give you another song that speaks for everything hubby and I felt on our special day.
Scene 9: Together as a Family
Two baby girls and now a happy little family of five.
