In anticipation of Valentine’s Day next week, I chose to write a love poem to my valentine for Mama Kat’s weekly writer’s workshop.
Love is …
meeting and getting to spend the rest of my life with you – my best friend.
us working through the ups and downs in life and never giving up.
knowing that I can be myself and you will still love me.
how you support and encourage me.
getting to wake up next to you every day.
how you get up with the kids on the weekends and let me sleep in.
finding a vanilla latte waiting for me on my nightstand after a night of little sleep.
letting me get my grumpy out when I’m having a bad day.
not making a big deal when I shop too much.
how patient you are when I can’t keep up to you hiking up a mountain.
the way you lovingly live in a house full of girls and an overload of emotions without complaint.
how we take care of each other when we’re sick.
the sweet little gifts you get me for Valentine’s Day and my birthday.
all the things you’ve helped me learn about blogging and web design.
making dinner for us when you know I don’t feel like it.
all the hugs and kisses you shower me with.
supporting my goal for physical fitness by watching the girls so I have time to work-out.
never complaining when I go out with my friends more than you do.
always putting me first before yourself.
not being able to imagine my life without you.
Love is so many things, but to me, love is you.
So grateful you belong to me.

Ummmm…he sounds like a DREAM!!!
He’s a good guy but no man is a dream! C’mon Kat, we all know that! I’m keeping him. He lets me sleep in. Sleep is precious to a Mama of 3 girls!
You have a wonderful husband!! And this post was so beautifully written. But seriously, your husband sounds fantastic. I just showed this to mine and said, “SEE! Other husbands dont complain about getting up with the kids!” Totally kidding, mine actually does well in that area.
My hubs is a good man, yes. Perfect he is not but neither am I. I know I scored a good catch and I’m not letting go.
Hubby also knows that if I don’t get enough sleep, I’ll be grumpy:P
I am so glad you have each other.
I’m so glad too!
So sweet. This made me smile. He sounds amazing and you guys look so happy together! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your love with us. Stopped by from the Workshop
Writing the poem was fun! Heading on over to your place to check out what you wrote. Thanks for the visit
What a wonderful tribute to him! He sounds amazing!
He’s a good guy. A keeper for sure
Oh, look at how cute ya’ll are!!! ;o) Your husband’s hair is *almost* as curly as Cory’s! Cory keeps his really short though b/c he thinks the curls are unprofessional. I say boooooo to that. Curls are awesome!!!
Ha ha…he doesn’t like the first picture I used because his hair is too long and he thinks he looks tired. Whatever. I think we look cute in the pic together
And yes, curls are definitely awesome.
what a lovely poem for your husband! I love the simple things …. like the fact that after 8 years mine still brings me a coffee in the morning. you wouldn’t think it was a big deal, but it just is.
The little things REALLY do make a difference. I love feeling like I’m spoiled in this way.
Oh Bruna, you have such a wonderful guy! And he makes dinner too! I need to show that to my husband, lol!
Aw! love this post! He sounds perfect!
Hooray for our Valentine’s. I loved reading about the sweet things your husband does for you. I’m glad that you are so well loved.
Oh so sweet Bruna.
What a sweet love you have xo
