Each of them have teddy bears they sleep with at night so I thought it would be cool to do an activity related to bears.
Voila … the torn paper, bear collage!
How did we make these?
Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy! <—my new fav saying.
Then, we took our coloured construction paper – brown for the head, arms, legs and feet and a colour of their choice for the bear’s t-shirt – and we began tearing it into pieces.
We spread white glue all over the bear on the white paper. Then we covered the bear with the torn brown pieces of paper. We did the same with the coloured paper in the area of the bear’s t-shirt.
After the body and t-shirt of the bear were completely covered, leaving no white spots, we drew in the bear’s facial features.
Note: Googly eyes can be added to the bears drawn in eyes to make them look more real.
Once done, the girls were happy with their bears and showed them off to Daddy when he got home from work. They are now nicely on display on a wall in our kitchen for everyone to see.
A fun and easy art project.
A big hit in our house!
