As much as I love the season of summer for the warm days and the laid back schedule, I am always happy once school starts up again in September. The beginning of a new school year means a busier schedule but it’s filled with after school activities that keep my girls active, engaged in learning and socializing with friends outside of their school circle.
This past week was filled with a bunch of firsts.
We visited our local Indigo Bookstore and Little B picked out her very first chapter book.
We rode on the scooters available for purchase in the children’s section.
Little H had her very first ballet class. She’s the one in the black dress and the hot pink socks. We forgot to buy the shoes but after class we rushed out to our local dance store and purchased the cutest white ballet slippers ever.
Hubby made roast chicken in the oven for the first time. He didn’t think it turned out as well as he hoped but we all thought it was super yummy. We fought over leftovers!
We ended our week with a little bit of bowling fun at a birthday party. It was Little B’s first time at the bowling lanes. I think we’ll be going back as a family soon. She loved it that much!
What kinds of things were you up to this week?

Oh my heart, your little ballerina is the CUTEST!!! And I love going to bookstores, they’re dangerous
xo
Book stores are the best! I love buying books.
Wonderful pics. Love how Little H is standing out in her black ballet dress!!! And that chicken looks delicious. My hubby always, always says that his cooking didn’t turn out the way he would have hoped etc… I think, he just does it for extra compliments!!!!
Now Little H has a pink dress and white ballet shoes. She likes it better than her black dress and hot pink socks!
Oh, wow, such big firsts! Love the scooter. And the ballet class. Enjoy the fun fall!
The scooter was cool. They wanted to bring it home like everything else they see in stores!
Oh, so cute! Your girls are just too much. I love the ballet pictures, and the bookstore pics, too. That roast chicken looks delicious!!
The roast chicken WAS delicious! Even more so because I didn’t have to make dinnner
Those are fun firsts!
We have that scooter at my house. I don’t recommend buying it. Just sayin’.
She is the cutest ballerina! And bookstores for me are dangerous. I could spend hours there!
Looks like a great week. I love when you have a bunch of firsts at one time it keeps life exciting.
