I was a proud mommy today and on so many levels.
My girls woke up this morning without “the grumps” and got ready for school, including eating all of their breakfast, without the slightest bit of fuss.
We walked to school and managed to arrive early enough to play on the playground.
Proud moment #1
After saying goodbye to Little B, Little H and I walked home together and talked about what we were going to do for the rest of the day.
She chose a trip to the library so we could stock up on new books.
Proud moment #2
After enjoying a cup of my homemade vanilla latte, we headed out to the local library where we returned old books, borrowed new ones and claimed our medals for completing the summer reading club.
Someone was pretty proud of herself.
Proud moment #3
After having lunch together, Little H decided to work on a few art projects while I worked on some short term plans for school.
Little H decided to practice printing her name. Something she’s been working on, especially forming the “e” in her name. This is what she had to show for once she was done.
Proud moment #4
When practicing the printing of her name got old, Little H decided to draw a picture of her family and this is the masterpiece she created.
Proud moment #5
And as if I wasn’t already proud enough with all the moments today, we picked up Little B from first grade to be greeted by a teacher who couldn’t say enough positive things about her.
“Little B is the perfect student”.
“She’s very motivated and determined”.
“She’s very bright”.
Proud moment #6.
My day couldn’t have been any better. My heart was full and my smile never left my face once.
It’s the kind of day you wish you could have every day.
How did you spend your day?

Wow! She was on a roll! I love her handwriting.
Her printing has improved significantly over the summer
Children are a joy for their parents. My daughther refused to have breakfast this morning, she managed to “tattoo” herself with a black pen and she gave my computer screen a touch of red with a red ped of course. Still, all these faded away when she started to sing her favorite song as an appology.
Aw, so cute. My preschooler LOVES to sing and does so everyone … in the house, the car.
Those are all wonderfully proud moments for you.
I remember the first time my daughter got an award for reading improvement. My heart was swollen.
I can imagine how proud you’d be. I would be too!
gorgeous pictures, gorgeous kids
Thanks Mommakiss!
Oh my heart…your girls are just the sweetest! Waking up without “the grumps” makes school days a lot better
xo
I despise “the grumps” in the morning
It’s so nice when we all wake up on the “right” side of the bed, no? LOL
Such a lovely day. Perfect even. I’m so happy for you!
Thanks Natalie

Sounds just perfect. I love days like this and I totally hear you on the teacher praise. Middle’s teacher came out on the first day and couldn’t stop gushing about her… made my day, no wait, my week!!!
Love that last picture… they are adorable.
Thanks Susi. My girls like posing for pictures
