As summer is coming to a close, I’m a bit sad to see it go. How could anyone not miss the lazier days, time spent at the beach, camping, hiking, swimming and all of the other fun outdoorsy things we get to do as a family throughout this season?
Just around the corner, however, is the beginning of a new season. Fall or Autumn if you wish to call it by it’s more formal name.
So goodbye Summer AND hello Fall!
Fall means …
cool, crisp mornings, light jackets or sweaters.
the changing colours of leaves on the trees that beautifully decorate my street.
the Pumpkin Spiced Latte returns to Starbucks. Mmmm.
families get together over a large feast to give thanks for all that we have. I get Thanksgiving dinner twice a year thanks to my American hubby.
we get to wear the collection of boots we have in our closets and accessorize with things like scarves and hats.
a new season of my favourite television shows.
salmon fishing <— according to the hubby.
apple and corn season.
a trip to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving and pie eating.
making Halloween cut-out cookies at Grandma’s house.
the festivity of Halloween with dressing up, candy collecting and parties.
making a new batch of homemade red and white wine.
Most importantly, Fall means a whole new season of fashion! Bring on the fall colours, accessories and trends!
I’m ready for all of it … Pumpkin Spiced Latte in hand

I tried to get my first pumpkin spice latte on Saturday and they were out. It was very upsetting!
They gave mine to me iced and I thought, “Meh, I’ll try it.” Ewww. Cold pumpkin drink is just not right. Ellen
P.S. – Can’t wait to wear my boots again, but have definitely not transitioned out of flip flops yet.
I still wear open-toed shoes. As long as it’s sunny and warm, I’m wearing them!
I’d be upset too. I tried their new salted mocha latte. It was yum!
I love fall too. I am ready for big sweaters and hot apple cider.
Mmm, apple cider
I bought myself the first box of pumpkin spice coffee for my Keurig. A little piece of heaven right there. I’m also sipping my coffee out of a Halloween mug. Too early?
It’s never too early to drink coffee out of a Halloween mug. I drink mine out of a Valentine’s Day mug all year around
Somehow I can’t get into pumpkin. I know…I do love the gingerbread lattes though (but not the short days and cold of winter!). Let’s enjoy fall first!
Yes, I must say I love the Gingerbread Latte even better than the Pumpkin Spice!
I love fall too! Football, hoodies, pretty trees and pumpkin spiced lattes! Ah
I know. Such comfort in the simple things, no?
hi… fab fall list, but gotta hurry…..off to Starbucks. thanks for the reminder
Grab me one too!
Oh, pumpkin coffee! ‘Nuf said. I heart fall (autumn)!
I heart Fall too.
Fall is definitely my favorite season. I love everything about it.
What’s not to love? Even a lit bit of rain is okay…but just a little!!!
I just had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season today!! Yeay for fall fashions, always my favorite!!
Wait until The Gingerbread latte comes available. I can wait for Christmas though.
Fall is the best time of the year, I must agree! Love pumpkin bread, pie, roasted seeds, and of course carving or drawing faces on pumpkins. We might even try pumpkin bread-pudding in the crockpot!
Mmmm, I love crock-pot recipes!
