turkey, spooks and hair

This year, Thanksgiving came and went within the blink of an eye. One minute we’re preparing a savory meal and then next, we’ve finished with dessert. Done!

The day after Thanksgiving, in accordance with tradition in our house, out came the boxes labeled Halloween Costumes and Halloween Decor.  The girls could barely contain themselves. Together, we decked out the house with all of our Halloween paraphernalia.

Outside and Inside.

Spooky enough?

The rest of the week was spent going through our costume boxes and discussing possible ideas for dressing up this year. We have 6 Rubbermaid containers full of costumes!

While the girls were in Halloween planing mode, I was in ” getting a new hair style” mode all the while wishing I had curls like Little H.

So I booked myself an appointment.  I’m just going to do it.  I’ve been bored with my hair for far too long and it’s time for a change.

I saw this picture in Lou Lou magazine yesterday while getting a pedicure.  I love it on her but will it look good on me?

So I’m going to go for it. First a hair cut to add layers to my already long hair. Then, to add peek-a-boo low-lights of caramel for a Fall #ombre look.

What do you think?

  1. It always surprises me how early Thanksgiving is for you compared to us. We take out all the Christmas decoration and buy the tree the day after Thanksgiving instead of Halloween. The turkey looks delicious. Can’t wait to see you with your new do!!! :)

    • I love having 2 Thanksgiving dinner. One in October and another in November with husband’s family. The benefits of being a Canadian/American family :)

  2. Oh my gosh…it’s kind of strange to me to think of Halloween decor after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving here means getting out the Christmas stuff!

Super spooky, though! Love it! And I saw pictures of your hair today. Gorgeous, Bruna!

    • All my American friends and family say the same. I’m lucky. I get 2 Thanksgivings with my family thanks to husband being American :)
