hugs from my hubby
Hugs feel good no matter who is offering them up. When hubby hugs me, my happy barometer sky-rockets.
sleeping in on weekends
Since my middle child stopped having bad dreams, I’ve been sleeping so much better. On weekends, hubby gets up with the girls so I can have extra pillow time in my big, comfy bed.
peanut butter and banana on toast
Lately, I’ve started eating natural peanut butter on toast, topped off with banana slices and sprinkled with cinnamon. It’s so good, I taste Heaven with every single bite.
cuddles with my girls
Whether we’re all bundled up on the couch watching a movie or snuggling it up first thing in the morning, cuddle time with my girls ranks high on my list for things making me happy these days.
making homemade vanilla lattes
Two years ago, hubby bought me a Keurig coffee machine for Christmas. It has become one of my very best friends. I cannot imagine surviving without the coffee it provides me.
mini Aero and Kit Kat bars
Our Halloween stash is now gone but I always manage to sneak some good chocolate while at work from a particular co-worker who always has some handy. Thanks Julie!
boots, leg warmers and comfy sweaters
This is and will be my attire for all of Winter. If you see me in person, I’m always sporting a pair of boots. They are my shoe of choice during this season. And after this last weekend, I now have a cool collection of knee high socks to wear with said boots!
Since getting my first Scentsy warmer, my house has been smelling amazing with scents like Vanilla Bean and Pumpkin marshmallow. I cannot go a day without having my candle warmer.
my six year-old reading to me
I bask in pride every night while my first grader reads me the books she brings home from school. She continues to amaze me with her growing vocabulary and the way she uses expression to make her reading more entertaining for me.
getting art work and hand written notes by my girls
Not a day can go by without my girls making, drawing or colouring something for me using the supplies they have in what they call their Art Box. I’m running out of room and space to store and display their masterpieces in our house.
reading blogs on my iPad
Waiting for my girls to fall asleep at night would feel like forever without my iPad in hand. I look forward to the time I sit in the dark on their bedroom floor and get to peruse Pinterest or read some of my favourite blogs.
taking pics with my iPhone and camera
Nothing makes me happier than having a small camera handy all the time no matter where I am. I love being able to capture every day moments with my family using my phone and then being able to share those moments via Instagram with family and friends.
Although my blog does not provide me with any monetary income, I love that it gives me an outlet in which I can express myself with words and photography. Writing and sharing makes me happy.
This mama doesn’t need anything for Christmas.
I have everything that makes me happy all wrapped up in the comfy place I call my life.
