Just around the corner, shy of a month or so, hubby and I will be celebrate 8 years of marriage.
Having this in mind, got me browsing through old photos the other day and while doing so, I came across this photo taken in August of 2004.
Look at us. Not married yet, not even engaged. We look so … young and carefree! I see no bags under my eyes, no wrinkles on my face and not a strand of white hair dawning any part of my flowing, dark brown locks of hair.
Happy and in love. That was us.
Ahem, … it’s still us.
Only now, we look like this.
Eight years wiser and more experienced in everything that life has thrown our way. Believe me when I say, we’ve been busy these last eight years settling down in a home we call our own and growing our family. Not the easiest thing to do having two babes in the span of two years but blessed to have been able to bring two more healthy, beautiful girls into our lives. Parenthood definitely encompasses great challenges but it also delivers moments that are irreplaceable and priceless.
Hubby and I have a beautiful story and I long to tell it to my grandchildren someday. For now, I just want to bask in the joy and the beauty that comes from raising a family and nurturing the one true love everyone aspires to find in their lifetime.
I found mine.
This is me. This is US. This is MY family and I love them with all my heart. ♥
