The month of June has been C.R.A.Z.Y. with a capital everything!
Since the weather warmed up, we’ve been spending a lot of our time down at our local beach of White Rock, BC. The girls love the ocean, playing in the sand, exploring the boardwalk and eating “gelato”. I can’t say that I blame them! I do too!
Last Monday, all three girls had their year-end dance recital. All three of them were in the same show on the same night. It was our youngster’s first time ever performing in front of a large audience and she was fabulous! I shed a tear or two while watching each of them dance.
The end of the school year would not be the same without the ever-so-popular year-end talent show! This year, Little B and her BFF Kate, signed up to be show participants. After endless hours practicing together at recess and lunch breaks, they came up with a dance routine all on their own. Together, in matching black body suits, they performed a jazz routine to the song, “Up All Night” by the band One Direction. The whole school cheered and applauded their performance while the two girls beamed with happiness and pride.
While her big sis was doing great things in a talent show, Little H was graduating preschool. Last Friday marked the end of her preschool years and as she sung the song, “Kindergarten Here We Come” to all the parents watching, tears filled my eyes as I realized my little baby is a big girl now. In September, she will join her sister Little B at the “big” school. Sniff, sniff.
My girls weren’t the only ones doing fun things this month. I attended this year’s Vancouver Mom‘s Top 30 Mom Blogger event in Gas Town, Vancouver. At the event, I met up with Amanda from the blog, Lilahbility and Nadia from the blog, Mama and the City. Besides photo taking, sampling chocolate, getting your makeup done, listening to speeches and drinking champagne I was able to finally meet the real-life women behind all the blogs I read and chat with via social media outlets. The night was a wonderful experience for me. One that I will never forget.
Only four days left of school to go and summer vacation will officially commence! Until then, cheers to Mondays with Stasha from The Good Life!
