Hubby and I decided to take our girls to “the happiest place on Earth” ~ Disneyland.
We stayed in Anaheim at Homewood Suites by Hilton where we were provided daily deluxe breakfast, themed weeknight meals, beer and wine from 5 to 7 daily and fresh, out of the oven, chocolate chip cookies at 7pm every night. A great place to stay!
We spent Teen B’s “Sweet 16th” birthday at Disneyland. She picked up a special birthday button from Guest Services upon entrance to the park and enjoyed special treatment from park staff all day long. Many “happy birthdays” were shared and it put a smile on her face every time.
To say that we had the time of our lives would be an understatement. This vacation was filled with so much fun that the girls were plotting a way to get us to permanently move to California. They did not want to leave … ever!
We spent a full day and night at Disneyland and then a full day and night at California Park. Teen B decided that once graduated from high school, she wanted to go to Monster’s University to complete her post secondary education. A fine choice, I say!
We were tipped off by a relative who lives in Calif about a private beach in the Laguna Beach area that few people kn0w about. We spent the day there bathing in the sun and playing in the waves. The views took our breath away!
In celebration of Teen B’s birthday, we allowed her to choose the restaurant where we would dine together. Hello Cheesecake Factory! They really do make yummy cheesecakes there. Teen B and I shared one while the girls opted for ice-cream sundaes.
The girls are counting down the days to the next time we take a visit to the happiest place on Earth. Honestly, I am too!
