It has almost been a month since I wrote last. I sit here quietly contemplating what I should write about today.
Funny how things change. When I think back to a few years ago, I remember writing and posting here on the blog every other day.
I remember being so passionate about writing and so motivated to share aspects of my life.
I remember spending too much time on Twitter connecting and bonding with on-line friends.
I remember checking out and signing up for other social media forums like Klout, Notey and Tribber to name a few.
I remember going to a few Blogger Meet-Ups.
I remember running and placing in the top 3 of The 2011 Vancouver Mom Top Blogger competition.
I remember spending more time writing for my blog than I did doing anything else.
And then I stopped.
It wasn’t a conscious decision. It just happened. And I slowly let go.
Now I’m lucky if I post once a month.
And I’m really okay with that.
While I still continue to love documenting aspects of my life as a means to freeze these moments in time so that I can reminisce about them later, I enjoy living in the moment much more these days.
My girls are growing up so quickly and we’re not sticking close to home any longer. Most of the time, we’re out and about creating our own adventures doing the things we love.
Life has changed for us. We’ve moved into a new chapter of our story and it has taken me away from my laptop and social media.
Facebook still lingers but even the appeal of that forum is diminishing these days.
I have a new social forum I’m a part of now. It’s an old-school-type forum and it’s called … Real Life.
