Wow! I can’t believe it’s Thursday already. Where does my time go? Anyways, I just discovered a new weekly meme that a few of my blogger friends started about 7 weeks ago. It’s called, 3 Things Thursday where you share your favourite things from the week. Since I’m all about sharing and I always have new favourite things, I’d thought I’d join them!
So here are my 3 things!
1. Recently, I committed to a 15 Day Challenge.
My teenage daughter and I formed a team. So much easier to make a change when you have company! I wanted to do this challenge so that it could teach my daughter (and myself, actually) how to be more aware about the foods we’re eating. Removing sugar, wheat and lactose from our diets was hard at first but as we got more into it, eating cleaner became easier for us. We started reading ingredients labels more closely and were amazed at the amount of junk fillers companies put in food products. At the end of the challenge, each of us lost 5 lbs and 1-2 inches off of our hips or waist. We were happy with the results of our hard work but more than anything else, we learned and realized just how important it is for us to pay closer attention to what we’re eating and how much better we feel when we’re eating clean. 2. Smoothie Mania
I’ve really gotten into making myself smoothies for breakfast. I have enjoyed trying out different combinations of fruit, including veggies and protein. I’ve discovered Chai Seeds and add them to my smoothies because I love the texture of them and they help me to feel full longer. Check out my Healthy Smoothie Board on Pinterest for recipes!
3. Birthday Girl
My Little B just celebrated her 8th birthday yesterday and I can’t believe it. It feels as if just yesterday she came into our lives. Every day with Little B is precious. She’s smart, fun and always up for an adventure. She has the biggest heart and cares for all creatures, big and small. I feel blessed to be her mother.

Yay, I’m so glad you linked up Bruna! Happy Birthday to little B, she’s adorable! That’s so great that your challenge went well. Recently, my husband’s had to make changed in his diet and to support him (and be healthier) I’m trying dairy and gluten free also. It can be tough but it’s definitely made us a lot more aware of the food we are eating and what goes in it. I’m going to have to check out your smoothie board because that’s what we’ve been doing for breakfast now too. Hope to see you next week!
