I am sad to say goodbye to Summer. It was, by far, the most entertaining and enjoyable summer of all since I became a mother.
The girls and I were on the go and always in good company. We planned out our weeks and made sure to pack our days with tons of activities and trips of all kinds.
We ate good food, slept in late and enjoyed every minute of the sunshine that Mother Nature provided us this year.
Favourite highlights are …
The girls went to camp for a week where they learned songs, made crafts and played games.
We went to a few birthday parties.
We spent a lot of time swimming and in boats.
Hubby and I took the girls on a few hikes. Two of them up at Mt Baker and our last was a beach hike along the Washington Coast near Lake Ozette.
We played at our local beach!
We found time to support our local teachers who were on strike fighting for better education funding in our province.
My hubby brought home the bacon a lot ….er, I mean fish!
And every day, we were as happy as this …
Summer 2014 – you will be greatly missed … but dearly cherished forever in our hearts and minds.
